Rio Tinto is a global leader in the mining industry and has a workforce that is constantly changing as technology and knowledge advances. It is my responsibility to ensure that new employees, and those early in their careers, are set up for success through many different facets of the employee lifecycle, including but not limited too: rotational programs to develop skills for advancement, improvements to the onboarding process to increase value from the beginning of employment, employee engagement surveys and implementation of programs to increase employee satisfaction, and other employee relation projects.
Wannamoisett Country Club
Assistant Superintendent January 2017 - August 2021
Wannamoisett Country Club is a highly regarded Donald Ross designed New England gem. The course is one of the top conditioned courses in the nation. My responsibilities at Wannamoisett include implementing a stringent watering program, hiring and training of staff, overseeing proper chemical applications, and ensuring that the maintenance department continually exceeds member’s and guest’s expectations.
Victoria National Golf Club
Assistant Superintendent October 2014 - December 2016
Victoria National is a top ranked Tom Fazio golf course that prides itself on providing outstanding golfing conditions with amazing scenery with a charm and character unique to Southern Indiana. While at Victoria National I was responsible for ensuring championship conditions were provided on a daily basis through; projects, water management, crew organization and job delegation, chemical applications, and cultural practices. All of this was done while maintaining Victoria National’s Audubon Sanctuary Certification.
Oak Hill Country Club
Assistant-in-Training/Spray Tech January 2012 - October 2014
Oak Hill Country Club is a prestigious Donald Ross designed club known for hosting major championships and consistently providing the membership with conditions second to none. During my tenure at Oak Hill I gained valuable experience in water management, leadership, chemical application, and tournament preparation. Oak Hill provided me with a foundation and the high expectations that I have carried on throughout my career.
